Bruce Wilkin, M.D.:  I was born and raised in a small mining town in Nevada. I lived there my whole life and then spent four years with the US Army. Following my military service I enrolled in college and completed my degree in pharmacy. I practiced as a retail pharmacist for the next five years and then decided to go to medical school. I have practiced medicine in Ely, Nevada for the last 26 years. I have done general practice including everything from geriatrics to pediatrics, OB to ER.

My experience in rural practice was such that I suffered from significant stress. I tend to be a workaholic. As a result of the stressful situation I faced, I ended up with severe shut down of my endocrine system about 17 years ago. It caused such severe fatigue and depression that I went to an endocrinologist for treatment, which saved my life.

A few years later I suffered two heart attacks. During recent months I was working very long hours in the ER, and as a result I was extremely tired and exhausted. Once, I spent a horrible day in the ER and was on my feet for about 20 hours straight. I went home completely exhausted. The next day I suffered significant shortness of breath and realized I probably had blood clots coming from my legs and migrating to my lungs. After being examined, it turned out I had a double pulmonary embolus. I was flown to the University of Utah hospital and treated. While in the hospital, I reflected on my life and my background. I realized that I couldn't keep up with the pace that I had been following for the last 26 years. I had to change my entire life style.

Fortunately I had been learning about mangosteen a few months earlier.

A friend called and asked me to investigate the xanthones found in mangosteen and tell her what I thought. I did, and I was so impressed that I joined with her in distributing the mangosteen juice. My experience with mangosteen during the last four months has been nothing short of incredible.

I began using the mangosteen juice right after the first of July. I burned the candle at both ends for so long that I suffered a lot of wear and tear on my own body.
